LORENZO GLEIJESES
Lorenzo Gleijeses begins his carrier in theatre in 1991 with his
father Geppy Gleijeses and Regina Bianchi and in 2000 he includes
cinema work in his repertoire beginning as a leading actor in the
movie "Gabriele" together with Mario Scaccia
From 2000 to 2004 he experienced several different kinds of
theatre pedagogies, working with international maestros such as
Lindsay Kemp, Eimuntas Nekrosius, Yoshi Oida, Eugenio Barba, the
Workcenter of Jerzy Grotowski, Augusto Omolù, Michele Di
Stefano/mk.
The shows by Lorenzo Gleijeses have been performed at the most
important theatre festivals and venues in Italy (among others
Napoli Teatro Festival Italia, Festival delle Colline Torinesi, Le
Vie dei Festival, Primavera dei Teatri, Short Theatre, Teatro
Mercadante Stabile di Napoli, Teatro India di Roma, Teatro Stabile
di Torino-Prospettiva '09, Out-Off and CRT in Milano) and Europe
(among others Odin Teatret in Holstebro, Denmark, Prague
International Festival). He has also directed workshops and
seminars at several Universities and theatre venues such as Dams in
Bologna and Torino, Teatro di Roma, Università di Ferrara,
Mercadante Teatro Stabile di Napoli, Teatro Stabile di Calabria,
Punta Corsara in Napoli.
Since 2009 he has been the creator and artistic director of
Quirino Revolution MAD, an international festival which opened the
historic theatre in Rome to innovation, theatre experimentation and
research on the new languages of performing arts.
